Product Description

1. Used as deoxidizer and allying agent in steel making, 3-5kg FeSi75 is needed for  1MT steel.
2. Used as inoculant and nodulizer in casting;
3. Used as reductant in producing other low carbon ferro alloys;
4. Used to produce metal Magnesium, 1.2 MT FeSi 75 is needed for 1MT Mg.
Ferro Silicon is used as an essential alloy in the production of steel and cast iron. Ferro silicon is produced by reduction of silica or sand with coke in the presence of iron. Ferro silicon is used as a source of silicon to reduce metals from their oxides and to deoxidize steel and other ferrous alloys. In the manufacture of cast iron, ferro silicon is used for inoculation of the iron to accelerate graphitization.
